We just wrapped up a full kitchen remodel with Villa Blanca Homes & Gonzalo and wanted to share our amazing experience.  We couldn’t be happier — both with the process (which is just as important) and the final result. We actually found Gonzalo and his team through a recommendation in one of the South Bay groups, and this was actually our second project with them. We first used them for our 1.5-bathroom remodel, and because we knew a kitchen remodel would be a bigger and costlier undertaking, we wanted to be absolutely sure we had the right contractor — and we’re so glad we went back to them.

From start to finish, working with them was fantastic. Gonzalo and his whole crew — including his project manager Sam — were organized, communicative, and honestly just really pleasant to work with (which makes a huge difference during what can be a stressful project).

A few things that stood out to us:

• Reliable and organized – They showed up on time every single day (8am sharp) or gave us a heads-up if anything changed. They clearly communicated next steps and the plan in advance, which gave us time to think through decisions (unlike other contractors we’ve used who would spring urgent questions on us mid-day).
• Hands-on oversight – Either Gonzalo or Sam was onsite every day to check progress and answer questions — something that was promised by other contractors but not our experience until now. The site was also dusted, cleaned, and left organized every single day.
• Great team of subcontractors – Villa Blanca Homes works with excellent subcontractors. Their tile, cabinetry, and stone countertop crews were all superb and true masters of their craft.
• Custom cabinetry – We loved this part! It let us optimize every inch of space and design storage solutions tailored to how our family actually uses the kitchen.
• Creative problem-solving – Gonzalo listened to all our (sometimes very specific) requests and figured out ways to make them happen. For example, he sourced a specific cabinet finish material we really wanted. He also came up with clever solutions on his own — things we wouldn’t have thought of — like designing a discreet way to access our gas line for future repairs without having to move the stove.
• Attention to detail & quality – Everything feels solid and thoughtfully done. It also seems like they stay up to date with trends and functionality, which shows in the little design touches. They didn’t cut corners either — for example, they did a full electrical redesign with multiple lighting options to brighten different parts of the kitchen.

One tip: When comparing quotes, make sure you know what’s included. Some contractors only cover the construction work without cabinetry, while Gonzalo’s quote included fully custom cabinetry.

Overall, we’ve been very happy and would wholeheartedly recommend them. They are amazing!
